Swize Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Swize, LLC ("Swize," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Swize mobile app on iOS and Android (the "App").
By using the App, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address, a display name, and your language and currency settings. If you sign up with email and password, we store your password only as a secure hash, never the password itself.
Sign in with Google or Apple. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address, an account identifier and, if the provider shares it, your name. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
Content you create. We store the lists, items, purchase history, and settlements you create in the App, including expense amounts and who paid.
Invitations. You can invite someone by typing their email address or by sharing a link. If you type an email address, we send it to our servers, store it with your account, and use it to send the invitation. This applies even if the person never creates an account. If you received an invitation and want your email removed, contact us.
Device and push notification data. If you allow notifications, we collect a push notification token and a device identifier (the Android ID on Android, or Apple's identifier for vendor on iOS). We use these only to send notifications to your device.
Purchase information. Subscriptions (such as Premium or Family) are paid through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which process your payment. We never receive your card number. We receive your subscription status and purchase history through our subscription provider, RevenueCat.
Advertising data. The App shows banner ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect device information, such as IP address, device type, and ad interactions, to show and measure ads. On iOS, the App does not ask for permission to track you, so Google does not receive your device's advertising identifier.
Technical and log data. When the App communicates with our servers or checks for updates, our systems automatically record standard technical data, such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, and timestamps.
We do not access your device contacts, precise location, photos, camera, microphone, or health data.

We use the information above to:
- Create and manage your account and let you sign in
- Store and sync your lists, items, purchase history, and settlements, and share them with the people you add

Sharing, retention, and security
Other Swize users. When you share a list or join a settlement, the other members can see your display name, the list name, item names, and settlement expenses, including item name, cost, and who paid.
Service providers and legal reasons. We share information with the service providers listed above, as needed to run the App. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger, sale, or reorganization of our business. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Retention. We keep your account information and content, including lists, items, purchase history, settlements, and invitation emails, for as long as your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete this data, except where we must keep limited records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention reasons. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Security. We use encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage for credentials. Passwords are stored only as hashes, and sign-in tokens are kept in your device's secure storage. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers. Our servers are in the United States. If you use the App from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., with appropriate safeguards where required by law.
Your rights and choices
Delete your account. To delete your account and its data, email us at team+privacy@swize.app from the email address on your account. We may ask you to confirm the request before we delete anything.
Permissions. You can turn off notifications at any time in your device settings.
Ads. Ads in the App are provided by Google. You can limit personalized ads in your device's privacy or ad settings. For more about how Google uses data for ads, see Google's ads policy.
Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
U.S. state privacy rights (including California). Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to access or correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
EEA, UK, and Swiss users. We process your information to provide the App you asked for (contract), for our legitimate interests in running and securing it, and with your consent where the law requires it, such as for notifications. You may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority.
To make any of these requests, email us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity first.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. In the EEA and UK, users must be at least 16, or the age of digital consent in their country. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated effective date, and notify you in the App or by email if the changes are significant.
